Dr. Maurice Cephus, DC, is a licensed Chiropractic Kinesiologist. He earned his degree in 1998 at Palmer West Chiropractic in San Jose, California. He began practicing as an Associate Doctor with Wade Chiropractic in San Jose, California where he continued his tenure prior to his move to Oregon. He has been a licensed practitioner in Oregon since 2005, and has been at RoseSprings Center for the Healing Arts since March 2011.

Dr. Cephus completed his specialized chiropractic education in the Neural Organizational Technique (NOT). NOT is a specialized kinesiology which not only accesses the body's own knowledge of itself, but also is able to locate and define the specific problem or problems. He uses muscle response testing to tap into the body's central nervous system. This aids in determining areas where treatment is needed. This technique fits with Dr. Cephus' philosophy and belief that the body has the ability to heal itself. He believes his work is the key utilized to unlock the body's healing properties.

"My job is to be an open vehicle to help the natural healing process where your body can relax and allow a greater flow of energy to move into its natural balance."

Dr. Cephus dynamically uses his faith and lives his beliefs in his practice about love and respect for self and others and incorporates these in the way that he cares for his patients. Dr. Cephus says, "If I could do anything for free, chiropractic would be it." He brings great passion, light-heartedness, energy, and enthusiasm to his work, allowing him the ability to tailor his treatment to each individual based solely on their specific need. He genuinely has a heart for people, is approachable and deeply respectful and tenaciously works as a partner with each person to discover exactly what works and how. He is unique in that he informs the client every step of the way so they understand what he is doing and why. He brings a joyful and playful sense of humor to the table as well to keep the treatments light and refreshing. His goal is for each patient to get well and stabilize so their need for services decreases over time and the body begins to function in its normal state.

Dr. Cephus treats men and women of all ages, children, and babies. His practice is designed to help families heal traumas including those associated with motor vehicle accidents, emotional disturbances, pain in the head, neck, and spine, pregnancy-related symptoms, headaches/migraines, musculoskeletal disorders, learning disabilities, allergies, scoliosis, and TMJ.

When he is not busy at the office, he takes great comfort in watching football (Go 49ers!), eating good food and relaxing.
