Spiritual Guidance
Being in Community and offering spiritual support and guidance deeply motivates retired minister, Rev. Linda A. Baker. She is a graduate of Pacific University and ordained Deacon in Full Connection with the United Methodist Church. Linda was first introduced to spirituality in the Christian church as a toddler, learning about a God of love and compassion.
Linda continues to explore questions like, "Where is God in poverty, natural disasters, injustices, and daily life?" She has always believed that there are many paths to The Divine, that how a person worships isn't important, and what works and satisfies one person's soul might not satisfy another. All spiritual paths are honored in her presence.
If you are looking to discover or rediscover your spiritual path Linda can assist you in your journey. She also offers a grief support group and classes in self-discovery. As a mother of two she has experienced grief firsthand at the death of her first husband 25 years ago and more recently the loss of employment.
For those needing assistance with sacred life passage Rev. Linda has presided over numerous weddings both traditional and non-traditional and also assisted families through the loss of loved ones, presiding at memorial and grave-side services.
Events Coordinator
Linda is the events coordinator at RoseSprings Center helping schedule and develop various programs, classes and events. She also enjoys promoting practitioners and the Center through networking, tradeshows, and marketing opportunities.
A native Oregonian and graduate of Pacific University plus attending seminary, Linda is an ordained United Methodist Minister. After spending 20 years working in the local church, partnering with RoseSprings Center has provided a new journey of exploration for her. "It's been a joy to be able to continue officiating at weddings here at RoseSprings, teach classes with students from different religious traditions and work with awesome healers."
When Linda's not working on the monthly calendar, creating flyers or publishing the newsletter she's embracing an anti-inflammatory lifestyle. "It's created the most significant physical and mental change in my life this past year. I was motivated by pain with an unexpected side effect of a 30 pounds weight loss." She's made every recipe in Jessica K. Black's cookbook (available in our store). If you need a support partner, feel free to contact her for encouragement or ask where to buy 'burdock root'.
We are always looking for interesting class topics and teachers. Please contact Linda at events@rosespringscenter.com with class ideas and/or requests.
