Ed Liebfried, Shamanic Practitioner
Ed is a practitioner of the spiritual and healing arts of the Andes, trained by the Four Winds Society and
through his experiences with the Q'ero elders of Peru.
It is a practical path of self-realization and clarity, honoring each of our unique ways of connecting to the
Creator.
His passion is in assisting others to realize their own unique talents and passions and to step into a
lifestyle that allows those gifts to blossom, bringing a sense of wonder and purpose to each day.
His other interests include running, hiking and traveling to work with indigenous medicine people.
His own path serves to demonstrate just how this shift out of the old stories and habits and into a truly wondrous adventure can occur. In the last year he has visioned and committed to aligning his life's work with his own essential being, without attachment to the specific outcomes. Committing to the unknown in life requires an inner knowing that this is where the treasures lie. Several months ago Ed received a vision of the universe aligning and of a window in time when something special could happen in his life. Since committing in ceremony to whatever that might be, his life has been a series of manifestations that have allowed him to step fully into this joyous and fulfilling work on a full-time basis.
Individual sessions of shamanic healing include Illumination, Extraction of Intrusive Energies and Soul Retrieval, often followed up with the ancient "despacho" offering, which all serve to release the client from the influences of lifelong patterns, family and cultural perceptions, imprints of trauma and old relationships, and replace them with a new and clean sense of true purpose and passion for life. This work can be supported by simple ritual and ceremony (some personal, some shared in community) that serves to cement the client's intention and align action with vision and heart. The goal is not merely to feel better after a session of work, but to maintain the shifts in the months and years to follow.
Ed's other passion is "linking the fires" or building a regional community of people who embrace a path of conscious living and harmony with Earth and Humankind. Our society has become starved for ritual and ceremony, and Ed offers periodic opportunities for celebration and group visioning throughout the year. An annual gathering and a global vigil fire for peace are planned for 2010 as well as monthly ceremonial gatherings.
All healing work is conducted in two levels of Sacred Space. The client's comfort and safety are considered first and foremost in all of Ed's work.
As part of your healing journey, there may be specific areas to explore more fully. Reconnecting with and making peace with your ancestors or specific work around death and dying are two common areas that can be addressed specifically. Ed also offers shamanic home & space clearing and will travel when appropriate.
