Dr. Amy Spellmeyer, DC

Amy Spellmeyer is a recent graduate of Western States Chiropractic College. She has taken numerous seminars in order to treat the diverse needs of her patients. Her approach is holistic: focusing on structural, chemical, and emotional needs. These three areas impact your spine, nutrition, and stresses on body and mind.

"The issues are in the tissues." — Dr. Timothy Francis

Emotions affect your tissues. When the chemical aspects of your body (adrenals, thyroid, digestive enzymes, etc.) are not working properly, your body is impacted. Keeping your body in an optimal state helps maximize your potential — leading to fewer complaints and more time between chiropractic treatments. Amy's goal in addressing health holistically is to help patients lead a balanced, productive lifestyle.

Amy was born in Owatonna, Minnesota and attended Purdue University. At Purdue, Amy pole vaulted for the Track and Field Team and won Big Ten titles, became an All American, and qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2000. As a collegiate athlete, Amy was no stranger to injury. She experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care, after living with pain for months as a result of an ankle injury that medical doctors felt was nonexistent. After being helped by her chiropractor, Amy realized that her calling was to provide hope to those in pain and change lives through chiropractic care.

Amy relates well to athletes and provides advice on effective ways to alter training while recovering from injury. Additionally, Amy has a desire to treat babies and moms in all states (prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum) and has advanced training on effective methods for meeting the unique needs of moms and babies.

Amy now calls Oregon "home" and enjoys her three dogs, spending time with her fiancé, working out, and reading. She looks forward to helping patients find relief from pain and is committed to providing high quality care in a compassionate environment. Some of Amy's skill sets include: Applied Kinesiology, Craniosacral therapy, Graston Technique, and exercise and nutritional advice.
